Abstract
Using the author s technique and the Barcroft apparatus, the O uptake of solutions of cysteine and reduced glutathione was determined. Traces of Fe and Cu salts and both hematin and its decomposition products all increased rate of uptake. Presence of CO in the gaseous mixture did not affect autoxidation except in presence of hematin decomposition products, which form in hematin solutions upon standing a few days. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
