Abstract
An original high-resolution electron spectrometry technique has been developed to obtain the energy spectra of electrons field emitted from localised sites on high-voltage electrodes. From a comparison of these spectra with those obtained from a reference tungsten emitter, it appears that the sites are non-metallic.Keywords
