Abstract
Mannose administered intravenously to normal or diabetic subjects is metabolized in each at rates proportionate to those of glucose. In man as in animals, mannose does not stimulate pancreatic release of insulin, nor is it actively absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, nor does there appear to be significant active reabsorption of mannose by the kidney. This publication has 32 references indexed in Scilit:
