Abstract
Neonatal otoxicosis is a very rare consh=on. The entire available literature contains 13 documented cases,1 , 3 w-ich are well summarized by Sclare.3 This communication describes the fourteenth case in which an abnormal thyroid-stimulating substance was found for the first time in a neonate with thyrotoxicosis.Case ReportA.F., a male infant born on November 21, 1961, was admitted to Montefiore Hospital 9 days after birth because of impending heart failure.The patient was born spontaneously at term of an exophthalmic, thyrotoxic mother.
