Abstract
The magnetic anisotropy properties of 57Fe-doped PrCo2, TbCo2, DyCo2 and ErCo2 were studied by means of Mossbauer spectroscopy in the 4.2-300K temperature range. Single-ion crystal field calculations account for the experimental results and enable determination of ranges of crystal field parameters. The temperature dependence of the 57Fe hyperfine effective fields in RCo2 is presented, and a comparison with similar previous studies is made. Keywords
