Abstract
Historical survey of the removal of the pituitary in exptl. animals suggested that the early failures to obtain survival were due in part to the operative technic employed. There were still problems of supposed pituitary function wherein considerations of the operative technic were significant. The advantages of a new parapharyngeal approach to the pituitary in the dog were enumerated. The operative technic was given in detail. A description of the modified technic of the parapharyngeal approach in the rabbit was appended. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
