Abstract
A practical method for the concentration of CSF for paper electrophoresis and the details of the paper electrophoretic technique are described. The effect of fasting, storage, and concentration factors on the results have been studied and a comparison made between the paper and Tiselius techniques. Normal paper electrophoretic values for serum and CSF are presented. In the past 8 years this method has proven to be sufficiently practical and reliable for use as a clinical measurement of gamma globulin in CSF.This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
