Hole-Particle States inF18

Abstract

Using the reaction ${}_{}{}^{14}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{N}({\mathrm{Li}}^7,t){}_{}{}^{18}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{F}$ we have assigned hole-particle configurations to ten states of ${}_{}{}^{18}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{F}$. The results support a model which assumes weak coupling between holes and particles. It has also been found that the reaction obeys a $\Delta T=0\mathrm{}$ selection rule.
