Abstract
30 measurements of the duration of action of insulin injected intraven. were carried out on 7 depancreatized dogs. The doses of insulin varied from 2 to 100 units. The duration of action was proportional to the logarithm of the dose. The rate at which insulin was destroyed in the body at any instant was proportional to the amt. of it in the body at the time. The avg. rate was 4/10 of the amt. per hr. or 1/9000 of the amt. per sec. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
