LowestT=2,Jπ=0+state inC12

Abstract

Utilizing the ${}_{}{}^{10}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Be}({}_{}{}^3{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He},n)$ reaction the lowest $0^{+}$ $T=2\mathrm{}$ state of ${}_{}{}^{12}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{C}$ has been located at 27.611 ± 0.020 MeV. The result agrees with earlier ($p,t$) measurements on ${}_{}{}^{14}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{C}$. The $T=2,1,0$ splitting of 2p-2h, $0^{+}$ states in ${}_{}{}^{12}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{C}$ is discussed.
