Lifetimes inP33by the Doppler-Shift-Attenuation Method

Abstract
Lifetimes of low-lying states in the nucleus P33 have been measured by the Doppler-shift-attenuation method. Energies (in keV) and lifetimes (in psec) are as follows: 1431.4 (0.70±0.15); 1847.6 (1.40±0.30); 2537.6±1.2 (0.03±0.01); 3274.9±2.0 (0.19±0.04); 3490.8±1.5 (0.09±0.02); 3628.6±1.5 (0.26±0.04); 4047.6±1.3 (0.08±0.04); 4193.5±2.5 (1.8); 5497.8±2.5 (Jπ=32±, 52+) 3.49 (52+); 4.05 (32+, 52+); 4.19 (52+); 5.19 (32+, 52±). For a number of the low-lying levels the results are compared to theory.
