THE EFFECT OF ACTH PROTEIN AND ACTH PEPTIDE ON THE HYALURONIDASE INHIBITOR OF HUMAN SERUM

Abstract
ACTH protein or peptide given a 58-yr.-old man with rheumatoid arthritis produced a fall in the serum hyaluronidase inhibiting titer. Titers began to fall the lst-2d day of admn., and rose within 2-3 days after ACTH to previous levels. Response was slower than temp. response and resembled erythrocyte sedimentation rate.
