Abstract
Lead and uranium K x-ray spectra recorded with a specially designed Ge detector have been fitted using an accurately determined line-shape model. This provides the first accurate Ge measurements of the K relative intensity and the first reported measurement of the relative intensity. Measurements of the transition probabilities of K and K relative to the K line provide a much more stringent test of calculated overlap and exchange effects than earlier ratios of gross line groups.
