Abstract
In dogs having the pyloric antrum removed, a pouch of the gastric body: (a) showed normal response to histamine, (b) an 80% reduction in response to Urecholine,(c) a normal response to histamine and Urecholine given simultaneously. It is concluded that cholinergic stimuli normally release gastrin from the pyloric mucosa and potentiate the response of the pyloric cells to other stimuli. Keywords
