Abstract
The prep. is described of o-, m-, and p-aminophenyl-glucuronides ([[alpha]]D[long dash]76.1[degree],[long dash]94[degree] and[long dash]82.7[degree] in N/10 HC1 resp.). 2-Sulphonamido-4-amino-([[alpha]]D[long dash]76.9[degree]) and 4-sulphonamido-2-aminophenylglucuronide ([[alpha]]D[long dash]67.7) are also described. These glucuronides were obtained from the urine of rabbits after feeding the corresponding amino-phenols. The o- and p-aminophenyl glucuronides were shown to be methemoglobinformers in vitro. The sulphon-amidoaminophenylglucuronides also caused met-Hb-forma-tion but less powerfully than the aminophenylglucuronides. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
