Elastic Scattering of Negative Pions fromO16in the Region of the (3, 3) Resonance

Abstract

The elastic differential cross sections for ${\pi }^{-}-{}_{}{}^{16}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{O}$ scattering have been measured for pions with kinetic energies 160, 170, 220, 230, and 240 MeV at laboratory angles from 15° to 77°. The cross sections are compared with the results of an optical-model calculation.
