Abstract
Formaldehydogenic substances (FS) in urine were detd. and yields compared after extraction with ether and chloroform, at pH 7.4 and 1, and after treatment with beta-glucuronidase and with acid. The results suggest that FS are excreted as free compounds,in conjugation with glucuronic acid, and as other conjugates as well. Methods are descr. for hydrolyzing the conjugates and extracting the free compounds. Keywords
