Abstract
Presentation of Case First admission. A 60-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of fever.She had been well until six years previously, when arthralgia developed in multiple joints; she was treated with aspirin and indomethacin. Six months before admission she had a shaking chill and fever, which recurred once or twice monthly until the time of entry, lasting for a few hours on each occasion and followed by fatigue.
