Abstract
Multiple myeloma is of physiological interest because the profuse synthesis and the diverse nature of the proteins elaborated by different patients constitute the most profound alteration in protein metabolism yet encountered. Electrophoretic and ultracentrifugal analyses of sera in this disease, abnormal serum globulins, Bence-Jones proteins, nitrogen metabolism and protein biosynthesis, and antibody formation are discussed. Keywords
