Abstract
Adrenalin in concns. varying from 0.0015 to 0.006 moles/1. inhibited the ability of cholinesterase of various sources to hy-drolyze choline esters in 0.003 M. concns. With acetylcholine as the substrate, the degree of inhibition of "specific" and "nonspecific" cholinesterases was of the same order of magnitude. With methacholine as the substrate for the "specific" esterase, the degree of inhibition was comparatively high. With benzoyl-choline as the substrate for the "non-specific" esterase, the degree of inhibition was relatively low. Keywords
