Abstract
A simple extrapolation technique is used to determine the normalization C of the proton-deuteron tail of the He3 wave function. With a wave function calculated using the Faddeev equations and the Reid soft-core potential we find |C|22.8, in fair agreement with the value |C|22.2±0.3 estimated by Bolsterli and Hale in a modified phase-shift analysis of pHe3 elastic scattering data.
