Abstract
The kidneys, as well as the liver, of intact dogs serve as a source of blood sugar. The usual rate of glucose production at normal blood sugar levels approximates 60 mg./kg./hr. Hyperglycemia is associated with an increase in the rate of gluconeogenesis by the kidney. Keywords
