Logarithmic Corrections to the Landau Specific Heat near the Curie Temperature of the Dipolar Ising Ferromagnet LiTbF4

Abstract
Quantitative experimental results for the logarithmic corrections to the Landau specific heat are reported for the dipolar Ising ferromagnet LiTbF4 near its Curie temperature Tc=2.885 K. The power of the leading logarithmic term is found to be 0.34±0.03, and the corresponding amplitude ratio is 0.24±0.01. These results are in agreement with the predicted values of 13 and ¼, respectively.
